A small number of well-placed formats, on pages people actually read.
Formats
- Leaderboard: 970×90 on desktop, 728×90 on tablet, between sections of the front page and section pages.
- Medium rectangle: 300×250, inside long articles (never in the first three paragraphs) and at the end of articles.
- Newsletter sponsorship: a single, labelled sponsor slot in the Morning Brief, Markets Close or the Weekend Essay.
Principles
- At most three ad slots on any page, each labelled “Advertisement” and sized in advance so nothing on the page jumps.
- No pop-ups, interstitials, or autoplaying video or audio ads.
- Advertising is always visually distinct from journalism. Advertisers have no say over our coverage.
- Ads load only for readers who have consented to advertising cookies.
